Karambit

The karambit first surfaced in Indonesia during the 11th century as a farming tool and utility blade. Symbolically shows the connection to the history, and the idea that time and use transforms our purpose.

Colors

The colors of the karambit are black and white representing the duality of the art. Hard and soft, external and internal. Duality is crucial in everything we do in Silat at every level. In life, we face two opponents- one on the inside and one on the outside, and we must learn to recognize them both.

The Figure

The figure is balancing on the lotus, allowing the self be balanced within the art. The figure emerges with dedication, the entire time while balancing all of the components til they are internal and take root.
